Our Royal Family!

What ever happened to respectable journalism!
I've wrote about this before and I do appreciate the media is a necessary part of being in the public eye, and it can be used for good purposes, as well as bad. But at times it's just plain disrespectful, who the hell makes the decision that the public want to see these 'alleged' pictures of Our Nations Princess topless..... I certainly don't.

However it does make me smile that the relationship between her and William is a genuine, loving, normal relationship, and if they are in fact real photo's, she has the confidence to be fun, happy and topless in front of her Husband, we all know not all Royal couples would be like that around each other, even back in the early days of marriage! It's nice to hear, but personally, I'd rather the paparazzi leave them alone during these intimate alone times, I don't need to know, and I certainly don't need to see! It's just unnecessary but they've got what they wanted, everyone talking about it.

I'm sick of seeing/reading about these cases, not long ago it was Prince Harry partying with girls, yea....so.... he's a young lad, he fights for his country and very rarely gets the chance to act like a normal young lad. Why plaster it across the news and make him feel any kind of shame. Surely there's more than enough actual news stories to report on.....

More to the point, does anyone actually stop to think, these lads have had enough crap to deal with regarding the press, lets just leave them alone as long as their not out murdering people or blatantly breaking the law, in public. Actually no, that's not fair, they are public figures so they do expect to be in news/magazines, which is standard, it's just the fact most of the stories in today's press are based on what is going on when they are in private. Everybody deserves some level of privacy, I don't care how famous/popular you are, at the end of the day you deserve time to let your hair down, enjoy yourself, without prying eyes documenting your every move. I just wouldn't be able to do it, be a journalist, if this is what is expected of you.

One thing I think deserves a nod of approval, the UK media were given the opportunity to print these pictures before French 'Closer' got hold of them, yet we declined YEY. Just goes to show, there is a line to cross, and clearly the media are capable of doing the right thing at times. Its clearly just down to morals, or lack of them. At the end of the day, the more the press abuse their privacy, the less they'll be willing to share publicly, and I love our new Royal Family, please stop scaring them off!!

I think in this instance, most people have just lost respect for the magazine publishing the pictures rather than anything else. It's just bad taste, and not just because of who it is....... ok maybe a little bit.
